We have a unique compact vintage tube amp, this Webcor Webster-Chicago Model 166 amp from 1952! It’s a rare find and a chance to get a vintage piece for a low price.
Originally designed for public address systems, these amplifiers are often repurposed for use with guitars and harmonicas. It has controls for Microphone/Phono and Tone. It is often compared to the Fender Tweed harvard amp. These amps have a smooth sound, suitable for lower volume. The original purpose for use with a microphone or phonograph. Plug in your guitar and hear the difference of plugging into a wonderful vintage piece.
This amp is great shape, actually one could say incredible condition for its age. You don’t see many of these around, so we were thrilled when we saw it come in the door. It’s been test and vetted, and ready to go!
