A Rosewood-Bodied J-45 Workhorse
The J-45™ is Gibson’s best-selling acoustic of all time. Nicknamed “The Workhorse” and first introduced in 1942, this iconic acoustic has become the cornerstone of Gibson’s round-shoulder, dreadnought line. We are pleased to release a new version of the J-45 Standard with rosewood back and sides that delivers all of the playing and sonic characteristics you’d expect from the world-renowned J-45 but with slightly fuller bass response and overtone complexity due to the rosewood body.
This is a new release from Gibson, crafted by the skilled luthiers in Bozeman, MT, and a unique offering for the legendary J-45 model. The color is called Rosewood Burst, which is stunning – we were blown away when this one came in.
Also available as a left-handed model, these exceptional acoustic guitars come complete with an L.R. Baggs™ VTC under-saddle pickup and preamp system, making them stage and studio-ready from the moment you take them out of the included hardshell case.
